ISOTEST act Long-Life Testing Electrode

The testing electrode is made of equal sizedsheets of conductive rubber mounted on analuminium profile. The construction provides improved flexibil-ity and reliability compared to conventionalelectrodes using bristles or made from a sin-gle sheet of rubber. The electrode can float some 10 millimetresin forward direction against a supportingstainless steel spring steel sheet.

Scope of Delivery:- Testing electrode including a high

voltage connector.

Available Sizes:- 4” to 100“ (114 mm – 2500 mm)

Minimized Tooling TimeThe ISOTEST act testing electrode can beretrofitted easily in any existing conveyorsystem. Electrodes can be changed withinless than 2 minutes. The high voltage connection uses a sturdyscrewed connector.

Segmented Testing Electrodefor large pipe diameters up to 4separate testing channels are avail-able.

Reliable Testing of Thin Coatings

With the ISOTEST act DC in-line holidaydetector thin coatings like FBE, Rilsan etc.can be tested in a safe and reliable way.Precise adjustment and control of the testingvoltage guarantees testing according to rele-vant regulations and customer specifications.Due to its flexibility, the ISOTEST act DCadapts easily to a wide variety of testingmethods: Helical testing for rotating pipesusing a flat electrode, whereas circumferen-tial testing is the proven method of choice fornon-rotating pipes. The intelligent microprocessor control systemguarantees the highest degree of measuringcertainty and fault tolerance. The testingvoltage is adjustable from 0.5 kV – 6.0 kVand is constantly monitored by the electroniccontroller.

Accessories

Testing RackThe testing rack holds the testing elec-trodes and allows a simple adjustment todifferent conveying heights and pipe di-ameters. Rugged insulators ensure safetyand smooth operation even under harshconditions. The integrated Makrolon® safety guardensures the stipulated protection againstcontact (VDE 0104, DIN EN 50191).

ISOTEST act Testing ElectrodesA wide range of test brushes is availablefor both circumferential and lateral test-ing.

GroundingThe grounding brushes close the testcurrent circuit. Matching the specificlength of the tested pipe, they have to bemounted in front and behind the testingsystem. This way a reliable grounding bypermanent contact to the insulated pipeend is always guaranteed.

Pipe End SensingAllows local paint marking of faults andswitches the test voltage at the pipe ends.

REA-JET Spray Marking SystemContact-free marking of faults in harshindustrial use.

Testing of Coatings with Pulsed Voltagefrom 5 to 30 kV

A wide variety of coatings / coverings like 3-layer-PE/PP can be tested rationally and re-liably to detect pores and pinholes.Precise adjustment of the electronically con-trolled testing voltage (adjustable from 5.0 kV– 30.0 kV in 2.5 kV steps) guarantees testingaccording to relevant regulations and cus-tomer specifications. The pulsed testing volt-age allows capacitive grounding. This makesit possible – as opposed to the DC mode – totest completely coated pipes. No direct con-tact to the metallic part of the pipe is neces-sary. The intelligent microprocessor controlsystem guarantees the highest degree ofmeasuring certainty and fault tolerance.

ISOTEST act Testing ElectrodesA wide range of test brushes is availablefor various applications.

GroundingThe grounding brushes close the testcurrent circuit. The employed impulsevoltage technique allows the use of ca-pacitive grounding. In contrast to testingwith a direct current, this form ofgrounding allows testing without directcontact between the grounding brushesand the uninsulated pipe.

Pipe End SensingAllows local paint marking of faults andswitches the test voltage at the pipe ends.

REA-JETSpray Marking System

Accurate marking of pores

www.holiday-detection.com

The innovative marking systems provide for asmooth manufacturing process. This is im-portant if after the holiday detection processdetected pores have to be marked with awell visible colored dot.Flawed pipes become clearly identifiedproducts which are supplied for further pro-duction processes.

The automatic REA-JET spray marking systemset themselves apart from others by simplicityof use, low maintenance costs, their goodreliability as well as the excellent repeatabilityof a high quality mark in every mountingdirection. The compact design allows fortrouble free integration into the existing pro-duction environment. A simple adjustmentprocedure is used. The size and the satura-tion of the mark can be adapted according tothe customer specifications.

Benefits at a Glance:

Non contact marking of pores andflawed pipe coatings

Up to 4 separate channels Bypass system to prevent clogging Highest reliability Designed for rough industrial
