ISLAMIC CLUB ACTIVITIES. FIRST TERM YEAR: 2016-2017

ISLAMIC CLUB ACTIVITYIES

Students got involved in hands on activity designed

around a game of trading cards, revisiting the articles

of Faith and stories of the prophets. This game was

designed for matching cards of the same groups with

relative information and stories.

ISLAMIC CLUB ACTIVITYIES

HADITH Umm Ayesha (Radhiallaahu Anha) narrates that Hinda, the daughter of Utbah said, Oh Prophet of Allah, grant me Bai’at (allegiance). Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) replied, I will grant you Bai’at when you change your palms (apply Henna) – (Mishkat pg.383 -Rahimiya)

Umm Ayesha (Radhiallaahu Anha) states that a woman behind a curtain presented a letter to Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam), He withdrew his hand saying I do not know if this is a males hand or females hand, the woman replied, he said, ‘If you are a female you must change your nails, (by applying henna on them)”

Story of Musa (as) by 7G The event were the red sea split into two

as depicted in the students’ work above.

“I feel that if we have a strong faith and

heart, even if the situation is impossible to

come out of Allah will make a way out for

us…. Like he split the sea for Musa (as)

and his people.”

Dream of Yusuf (as) (7G) “I believe that if you are a good person and

have good intentions no matter how bad the

world treats you Allah will always raise your

status and show your worth.” Sharmin 7G.

Yunus (as) & the whale (8G) I am inspired by Yunus (as) because he

kept on asking Allah even when he knew

Allah punished him for his disobedience

this story makes me hopeful. Husna 8G.

DRAWING ACTIVITY

Rules:

2. Use any mediums

3. Use the information you

have received during

lessons to make the

illustrations

4. Write a small paragraph

explaining why you

chose the story of this

prophet.

Relating the stories of the

prophets into our real life

situations is the subject and

objective of the Quran itself.

We at BIS held an Islamic

activity in which students

illustrated an event that inspired

them the most from the story of

their favorite Prophet and a

write up to explain the

importance and significance of

their choice.

ISLAMIC CLUB ACTIVITYIES

The Islamic club and art club joined

hands in a combined activity in

which students were exposed to the

realms of Islamic art and historic

architecture.

The student tried their hands on

some basic geometrical patterns

and also colored the more complex

ones.

They identified the origins and

learned sources of the motifs.
