ISIN Organization Launches Listing Service for Issuers of Private Offerings

25 April London, UK–ISIN Organization Inc., the independent web-based database platform for International Securities

Identification Numbers, commonly referred to as “ISIN codes” announced today the launch of a listing service for Issuers

of private securities and enables Issuers of debt, equity and other instruments to provide greater transparency for the

global institutional investor community.

Since the creation of the ISIN code protocol in 1989, ISIN has become the leading securities identifier code used across

global financial markets for securities processing and administering OTC transactions. Aside from ISIN codes, there is an

assortment of global securities identifier codes used for transaction processing such as the North American-centric

CUSIP; CINS, and London Stock Exchange-issued SEDOL. Adding to the confusion, institutional market data terminal

farm operators such as Bloomberg LP and Reuters have created their proprietary identifier codes for the securities within

their market data feeds. As such, there can be upwards of five or six different identifiers for any particular security.

Towards meeting MiFIR guidelines and MiFID 2 implementation slated for January 2018, global financial market

transaction processors, trade-clearing utilities and securities industry regulators have recently determined the ISIN

protocol of a 12 character, alpha-numeric standard conforms best to meeting industry-wide needs.

The ISIN.org public database is the only independent resource by which professional and private investors can research

ISIN code-certified financial instruments and related securities descriptive information and to confirm the details of non-

publicly traded financial instruments and private placements issued by the universe of hedge funds and private companies

that float debt, convertible and preferred offerings on a daily basis.

According to Gaelle Dimmer of Luxembourg-based European Fund Administration, “From an Investor Relations

perspective, meeting both the transparency and due diligence needs of prospective investors in today’s climate is an

imperative. For Issuers who embrace this notion, the ISIN.org listing platform is a game-changer.”

Added Ms. Dimmer, “Having the ability to simply upload Issuer securities information into a public access database so

that prospective investors and investment industry analysts can quickly search a web-based platform to affirm that a

particular security is ISIN-certified as well as to view pertinent securities descriptive information is very beneficial. More

importantly, it provides a welcome alternative to the legacy financial industry terminal farms which impose significant

annual subscription fees and often, their databases are very limited insofar as covering the broad universe of privately-

issued securities.”

ISIN.org, listing services for Issuers include an assortment of IR tools that help Issuers advance corporate communication

goals and extend institutional awareness as to their respective offerings. There is a one-time listing fee for Issuers and

provides compliance executives to upload and administer an unlimited number of issuances for the full life of the

corporate entity. For researchers and analysts, ISIN.org provides several options for membership subscription services,

including a 2-day pass providing unlimited search and sort access. Complete information is available at www.isin.org.
