Westminster welcomed two new members to our church family on Easter Sunday. Sherri Kramer and Susan Taylor joined by Affirmation of Faith and by transfer. Thank You Notes:

Westminster received a nice thank you from the general contractors who were around our neighborhood putting in the new water lines. As an expression of their thanks they filled in all the potholes in our parking lot and driveways for free. Thank you, Westminster, for allowing them to park under the trees on the northeast end of the property everyday while they worked on the roads and water pipes. That kept their cars cooler. Dear church family, thank you so much for all the cards, birthday cake, flowers and singing Happy Birthday. It was a wonderful day. Kay Lee Missions: As many of you already know, Mary Alice Sutton passed away last year. Her daughter, Susan, has planned a memorial service for Mary Alice up in Traverse City on May 26 at 2 p.m. The service will be held at the Presbyterian Church of Traverse City on Westminster Street. Mary Alice supported about 41 different missions so it was difficult for the family to come up with a couple that they wanted contributions in Mary Alice’s name to be given to. Her family requested, if anyone is interested, that donations may be given to Wounded Warrior. Worship and Music We hope everyone loved the flowers we had this Easter. Many thanks to Mike and Beth Stone and Donald Townsend who brought all the flowers into the church and arranged them into the wonderful Easter arrangement. ANNUAL CHURCH PICNIC IS SATURDAY, MAY 4 Due to the construction on the parking lots at the beach, we have made arrangements to have the picnic at the ROBINSON PRESERVE PAVILION. It is located at 1704 9th Street NW in Bradenton. Directions: North on 75th St West to 17th Avenue NW. Turn left (west) and continue to the end of the street. Pavilion is screened with a fan. Parking and restrooms are close by. Botanical Gardens are right next door if anyone wants to visit. Plan to bring a dish to pass, a folding chair, and a cushion for the picnic tables.
