Titanic Facts It was made between 1909 and 1911
The Titanic was the biggest ship in the world because it was 269.1 metres long and 28 metres wide
The perimeter of the Titanic was 564.2 metres
It had two anchors that weighted 15 tonnes each
Titanic Sinking On the 15th April 1912 the Titanic sank, 4 days into its 1st journey
The ship had around 2200 people on board, but only had life boats for 1200
It took 2 hours and 40 minutes to sink
It was 74 years before the ship wreck was found at the bottom of the sea
Approximately 6000 artefacts have been recovered from the wreck
