The ISAAC Outstanding Consumer Lecture Award provides aplatform for a person who uses AAC to present a topic inwhich they have special expertise. ISAAC wishes to highlightthe talents (such as storytelling, creative writing, humour),perspectives (on current events, relationships, etc.) orindividual endeavours (scholarly, entrepreneurial,recreational, etc.) of an individual beyond AAC, reinforcing thepoint that a person who uses AAC is not defined by AAC. Theaward recipient will be a featured presentation speaker at theISAAC 2016 Biennial Conference in Toronto, Canada, and willreceive a cash award of $5,000 CAD. Submissions are dueby November 30th!
