Agha you ask an interesting question to which the answer is rather involved. One of the first questions we need to ask ourselves, and this is not limited to the US military, is "Have we selected the right people to be commissioned officers?" I think that in many cases we have not done a good job of this. Another is: "Have we failed to teach them what it means to be a commissioned officer?" I think we have failed in that area as well.

Let me explain.

Having conducted research on commissioned officers

Page 4: Is the us military selecting the right officers

across many nationalities, religions, and ethnic groups I have found that the officer received his/her commission based on a special trust by the government. This means that there exists not only a fiduciary relationship between the people and government to the commissioned officer. Although many countries and cultures do not call it a 'fiduciary relationship' the notion of it is present and can be dated back at least as far as Hammurabi. In addition to this the government has made the commissioned officer trustee with all the duties and responsibilities of a trustee over the soldiers, sailors, and airmen in his or her command.

Unfortunately too many commissioned officers either do not understand their duties and responsibilities or they simply do not care.

Commissioned officers like those described in this posting are toxic, need to be eliminated from whichever military they serve in, and need to be held accountable for their failures. There is much to be said about a public drumming-out ceremony.

I could continue my part of this discussion, but I think it prudent to stop. I will continue my discussion in greater detail at a later date.

Insurgent sources in Pakistan regularly flash cell fone made videos of US soldiers moving in and out of bagram.

It is a billion dollar question why US commanders , and I would add over zealous US commanders are exposing US troops like sitting ducks in a platter to slightly or absolutely mad people .

What is the tactical purpose of sending these soldiers on patrols around Bagram ?

Or was it their TAQDEER . Fate or Maktub as a Muslim may visualise.

No sir , it was stupidity and what i term CALLOUS INDIFFERENCE    OF SOME OVER AMBITIOUS PRICK US COMMANDER WHO WANTS TO PUNCH A HOLE IN HIS BRILLIANT LIST OF ACHIEVEMENTS !

ADD WHAT HE DID IN SENDING OUT SITTING DUCK PATROLS IN AFGHANISTAN AND POST HIS LINKEDIN PROFILE AND GET A CUSHY JOB IN DC

Page 9: Is the us military selecting the right officers

GREATER AREA !

US commanders need to reflect why they want to send their soldiers on JOINT PATROLS to safeguard a country half of which does not want the US to stay or lets say 40 % of which does not want the US to stay.

Even this is not the issue .Majority of Afghans want US to stay in Afghanistan. It is Afghanistans neighbours who want

USA to FAIL in Afghanistan and LEAVE.List of countries who very keenly want

US to fail in Afghanistan, and they are destabilizing Afghanistan through their proxies, List  is as below:--

1. Pakistan.

2. Iran.

Page 10: Is the us military selecting the right officers

3. China

4. Russia

5. Saudi Arabia.

The attack was videotaped and immediately added to a long list of motivational material in thousands of insurgent schools all along af pak border .

While US position in Afghanistan in terms of its military bases occupying a strategic piece of real estate in soft under belly of China and Russia is IMPREGNABLE , why expose US soldiers to fire or suicide NUTS on motorcycles .

If USG is spending a million dollar plus on US soldiers per annum why not spend this money on better things in the US like creating jobs or interest free loans funds for VETS ?

My question remains . Are US lives that cheap ?

Page 11: Is the us military selecting the right officers

What do I see in Pakistan ? Massive tax evasion that is making Rich RICHER and creating a vast income divide that would make Pakistan worlds most unstable state !

Stock market and real estate owned by pakistans rich and corrupt thriving !

Lastly why doling 650 Million USD PER ANNUM AND MORE in charity to Pakistani state which has not deployed a single battalion to interdict taliban infiltration into afghanistan ? This 650 Million would have been

better spent in treating SEXUAL ORGANS OF UNITED STATES PROSTITUTES DAMAGED BY VENEREAL DISEASE ?

Page 12: Is the us military selecting the right officers

where is this 650 Million USD going is a GREAT MYSTERY . WE PENSIONERS ARE STARVING AT 130 USD per month ?A MILITARY INTELLIGENCE OFFICER

I MET FLYING FROM QUETTA TO PESHAWAR STATED THAT PAKISTANI GENERALS EVEN BUY VIAGARA WHICH THEY LOVE FROM COMMAND FUND ( A BLACK FUND FOR SHEER MISUSE AND NOT SUBJECT TO ANY AUDIT ) So why not give Pakistan viagara worth 650 Million USD !
