Is family is an organization? Are Leaders born not made they grow along with the circumstances?

As per my views, it is 'Yes'.

Family and Organizations are no more different. Both of them are organized, managed, and run by the individual leaders with unique responsibilities.

Suppose in a project there are FOUR types of resources are filled with:

1. Unsatisfied because they are not awarded for their diligence; but that does not impact on their regular stuffs.

2. Unsatisfied and not committed on their work.

3. Satisfied; and they do not have any concerns (Fresher’s).

4. Satisfied; because they achieve (more than) what they expect.

Type 1 kind of people must not be neglected; they should be heard and provided moral support because they think they are not less than the type 4 people.

Type 2 people can also be value addition to the team, hear to them, train them and encourage them.

Same is the case in the family, no one can be neglected.

Conflict Management: Conflict Management is not just important in the corporate sectors rather it is very important to practice in the family too. Conflict is nothing but difference in opinions. When we give value (Importance/weight age) to someone, trust is built; when trust is built, relationship is made and only then two way communications happens successfully which is called constructive confrontation.

The service industry has brought the concept of human value system as 'ZERO'; so that win-win relationship is becoming weaker.

Can anyone give me the head counts of resources that do not have fear of losing their jobs?

Similarly, in the family if the human value is 'zero' then family value gets nullified. There will be a split in the family. And, there will always be a win-lose relationship.

The virtue of a King is to do the welfare of his Kingdom - is a true leadership.

If the Guardian (head of the family) does not think about the prosperity of the family and plays diplomacy the family goes to hell. The family does not require any kind of diplomacy.

If the family value system is very high then the guardian of the family always remains the King or, a leader.

Now, in today’s environment where the traditions are suppressed by modernizations, being multicultural, educated and everyone wants to be independent. So, in this era 'Autocratic' leadership does not work in the family and so, very often it fails in the organizations also.

At the same time, the Autocratic leadership or, the directorship sometimes required in the family and organizations also. But, it is required for the fresher’s in the organizations and for the children in the family.

It does not mean that these verities of people do not require any kind of supportive behavior.

But, for the experienced in the organization and grown up persons in the family needs supportive behavior more than the directorship.

To fertilize a relationship care and appreciation is a must.

The feeling of 'Caring' makes a chemical reaction and forms a sigma bond in the human relationships and diminishes the wariness of being alone, scares and gives a confidence that someone is standing behind to support in any case. And 'appreciation' makes somebody more enthusiastic, energetic and achievable.

I strongly believe, the management institutions may create hundreds of top management gurus but a great leader cannot be taught to be created in two years. It is his family, surroundings, being intellectual and maturates can only create a great leader.

Today’s world is more of nuclear family (Husband, Wife and Children) and for parents old age care centre isn't it so sarcastic? The world is so much so full of selfish creatures.

What happens when such a creature becomes a leader for you or, for your organization?

They think of getting work done by any means and once the work is over relationship dies unless until they need your help and support. And, it has become a trend in the organizations. It can also be seen that much of partiality, groupies within the teams. And for subordinates they cannot do anything to his boss.

And, moreover now a days the crisis in the organization is a good people management. People quit their job because of their bosses.

Growing as an organization or, as a person never defines a great leader. A greatleader is he who cares for his employees and for the nation. Mr. Ratan Tata is an example of a great leader.

If employees of an organization are not happy then it is difficult to make a big leap for the organization. The clear example and evidence of Cognizant Technologies, the reputation and employee satisfaction it has seeded in the last few years is giving back the compound growth for the organization.

And split happens when there are more contenders and less satisfaction in terms of roles, responsibilities and wages.

Same is the case in the family, when a bread butter earner does not get any value and the other person who sells himself very well and takes away all the reputations and plays dual face character then the family splits.

If everybody in the family or, in the organizations thinks that this is my family or, my organization then the family or, the organization cannot split. It might look hypothetical; but it is the toughest and important job of a leader.

In most cases we play the blame game first then we look for the resolutions.

Today the world needs a transformational leadership in every area. Many leaders are scared of using the word “I”.

The word “I” never breaks the team rather it builds a team when a leader emphasizes as a responsible for anything. He takes all the risks and gains the confidence of the team members. In such a circumstance the team volts very high and benefit the win – win relationship.

Another important aspect of leadership is ‘Emotional Intelligence’ which allow a person to be aware of, to understand and to control of their own emotions and to recognize and understand the emotion of others instead of presuming and act on anything.

When we need something or, we expect something that we are not getting, negative emotions gets created in terms of anger, fear, disappointment, depression, instability and results unhappiness. And which impacts in the family or, the organization.

The leaders should understand the emotions of the team and should work with the team to grow the positive emotions within every individual.

Make great connection with the team; understand their desires, acknowledge them what can be fulfilled. They should be motivated, appreciated for the achievements, give them autonomy where ever possible there could be many alternatives of accounts.

To make a connection with the negatively emotional people, leader should improve the abilities of self-awareness, self-assessment and self-confidence which will help them to be self-controlled, and trustworthy so that they may communicate to a great extent, should be able to manage the conflict and build relationships and influence people. This can be practiced at home as well as in the office.

So, I believe family is an organization and leaders are born not made they grow along with the circumstances.
