0.2’ The formulation of Indian Standards on hospital equipment has beentaken up at the instance ~of the Advisory Committee for the Development ofSurgical Instruments, Equipment and Appliances, Government of India.

0.3 This standard is one of the series of Indian Standards on hospitalequipment. Other standards published so far in the series are as given onP 10.

0.4 This standard contains clause 6.4 which calls for agreement betweenthe purchaser and the supplier and which permits the purchaser to use hisoption for selection to suit his requirements.

0.5 For the purpose of deciding whether a particular requirement of thisstandard is complied with, the final value, observed or calculated, expressing the result of a test shall be rounded off in accordance withIS : 2-1960*. The number of the significant places retained in the roundedoff value should be the same as that of the specified value in thisstandard.

1. SCOPE

1.1 This standard specifies requirements for manually controlled hydraulicAlbee’s type orthopaedic operation table.

2.~NOMENCLATURE
