Iron Maiden Holdings Limited (“Iron Maiden”) holds three federal trademark registrations for the IRON MAIDEN mark (for Clothing, Paper products (decals, posters, etc.), and Live Entertainment Services)[PICTURE]The lawsuit is actually the spillover of an ongoing opposition proceeding that has been pending at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board since 2007. Iron and the Maiden, LLC applied to register the mark IRON AND THE MAIDEN with the PTO. When the application was published for opposition in June 2007, Iron Maiden filed an opposition, which has been pending since October 2007 and suspended today with the filing of the above civil action.
