ACCOMMODATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Homestays are the best option to experience the culture deeper and learn further about local people. This is highly recommended for students who want to feel closer to the Irish life style, including home cooking and the opportunity of practicing the language through conversation. The student can also experience living in a very typical environment, which enriches their immersion in the local culture. Families come from a variety of backgrounds from traditional Irish families to modern-day families where both parents work. Some hosts are single professional people. Host family accommodation is on a Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday basis.

Extra night accommodation may be requested and may be offered at a nightly rate subject to availability.

Should a student wish to change Host Family, ISE will only do so after discussing the situation and reasons with both the student and the family. There is a code of conduct that must be respected between family and student on request from the Accommodation Manager. If any problem arise the Accommodation Manager will endeavour o resolve them in the best interests of the student, the family and ISE.

Distance from SchoolHost Families live in suburbs away from Dublin city centre close to public transport services. It is necessary for all students to travel to school by public transport. We advise all students to expect a journey time of at least 40 minutes.

FacilitesSingle or twin room , Shared family bathroom, Light laundry facilities, Host families also provide 'half board', meaning breakfast and an evening meal, Monday to Friday, and breakfast, small lunch and evening meal on Saturday and Sunday. Special request (dietary, pets, children etc) must be made at the time of the initial booking. We may not be able to accommodate special requests after student has been placed.

Our houses are intended for individuals who really want to enjoy the student accommodation experience. All of our residences are located in safe areas of the city and most of them are close to the College. These residences are well equipped with all standard conveniences such as TV, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, cooker and central heating. Free broadband Internet access. Our student residences are outsourced.

Security and Cleaner deposit

ISE does not charge a deposit for accommodation. The student is responsible for any damage caused to accommodation and ISE is not liable. Our Student Residence provider will charge a deposit of €100 on arrival to students staying in student residence. It is the responsibility of the student to insure the return of this deposit.Some of our partners require €120 for the private rooms and €110 for the shared rooms as security deposit per person against possible damages. From this sum they keep €20/€10 as a cleaning fee and the rest it is returned to guests after leaving the property in the original conditions.

Distance from SchoolMost of our houses / apartments are located at a walking distance to Dublin city center (20 - 40 minutes by walk). Other accommodations are within 40 minutes by public transport or by bicycle. ISE do not guarantee availability only in central accommodations.

FacilitiesSingle, twin and multi-bedded room.Washing and cooking facilities for self-catering, high-speed Wi-Fi connection and complete bedding. Our prices include the bills(electricity, gas, water, bins) and free Wi-Fi Internet connection.

Homestay Student Residence

• All accommodation is offered subject to availability.• Accommodation fees are non-refundable.• There is an accommodation placement fee of €60.• En Suite room (private shower & toilet) is available on request for an additional fee.• Minimum booking is 1 week and maximum is 4 weeks and subject to availability for dates requested.• Students should pay accommodation 4 weeks in advance to avoid disappointment.• Students are advised to book and send the flight details in advance to get the accommodation details as soon as possible and avoid disappointment.

• Extra fee may be charged in the high season June/July/August• Late payments or short notice (less than 4 weeks) cannot guarantee accommodation availability.• In such case that a payment is made with short notice (less than 4 weeks), the student will not be eligible for a refund should they choosean alternative accommodation option. Additionally, they are liable to pay any difference should the rate of the alternative option be higher than the original payment made.• There will be an extra charge for special requests.
