With a population of about 3.1 million, Casablanca isthe main center for business and commerce inMorocco, with all important industrial facilities andinternational companies being based there. Hence, itis also considered to be Morocco's economic capital,and is well-connected to the rest of the country withexcellent roads and railways. Yarmouk University’s Museum of Jordanian Heritagealso displays cultural artifacts, including centuries-oldstone carvings. A traditional house, once home to aJordanian poet known as Arar, is now the Beit Ararcultural center.
