Outstanding image quality – also at nightThe DF4920HD-DN/IR is a high-resolution HD camera. Owing to a unique and novel IR lighting concept it provides outstanding images, also at night. Although the camera features integrated high-performance lighting, they only require a PoE supply class 0 (IEEE 802.3af). This is achieved through the very high efficiency factor of the IR-LEDs.

Novel IR lightingWhat is so special about the new IR lighting concept of the Dallmeier IR camera?Most conventional IR cameras use many small LEDs, arranged circularly around the lens. In contrast, the Dallmeier DF4920HD-DN/IR uses three large high-performance light-emitting diodes. The Dallmeier IR camera thus achieves a very high irradiation output, which means that even at a distance of 25 m details are still clearly recognisable. Additionally, integrated collimators provide for a highly even and homogenous illumination. They ensure that the marginal areas of an image are sufficiently illuminated. Conventional IR cameras often fail to do so.

Digital Image ShiftWith the “Digital Image Shift” function you can easily adjust the captured image section comfortably via your web browser, without having to climb up a ladder and modify the camera itself.

How does “Digital Image Shift” work?Depending on the selected resolution, a set area of the sensor surface will be used for image capture, never the whole sensor though. With the Digital Image Shift functionality you can move this area within the sensor and fine-tune the captured image.

P-Iris (Precise Iris)The P-Iris control is designed for the precise and automatic adjustment of the ideal aperture (“optimum aperture”). Compared with con-ventional DC auto iris lenses, P-Iris attains a significantly improved image quality with excellent contrast, brilliant clarity and increased detail resolution with, at the same time, a larger depth of field. Especially when monitoring objects in different distances to the camera, such as in extended hallways, waiting areas or parking lots, maximizing the depth of field is crucial to the quality of the results of a later image analysis.The aperture setting of the P-Iris lens is precisely adjusted to the prevailing lighting conditions by using the camera software improved especially for that purpose.

Zoom, focus and iris control conveniently adjustable via web browser Equipped with the new motorized varifocal lens the IR camera can now be installed even easier and faster. Setting the focal length as well as focusing can now be conveniently performed over the network. The efficient and highly precise stepping motor technology for the positioning of the lens system of the fast lens allows for a quick and exact adjustment of the focal length (zoom) and focus (incl. One-Push Autofocus) setting over the web browser.
