Restoran Ayam Nasi Pak Kong
Restoran Ayam Nasi Pak Kong (白宮雞飯) is always crowded no
matter what time you are there. This non-halal restaurant only serve lunch (till 2.30pm). We
paired it with their achar and kai choy.
The spicy and sour kai choy is surprisingly very tastyIf you come
here for lunch, you can walk to Funny Mountain Soya Bean, grab a Aun Kheng Lim Salted Chicken across the road or go for second
round at Lou Wong and Onn Kee Bean Sprouts Chicken.
27, Jalan Theatre
Sin Yoon Loong
One of the oldest traditional Hainanese coffee shops in Ipoh
old town. They served quality hot and cold beverages, toasts with kaya, Chinese sponge cakes and other local delights. The white
coffee here is frothy and very rich. It has a slight bitterness at the end
but you can totally smell the fragrance of the coffee. Honestly, the combination of their toast and coffee is a killer. However, if the bitterness is too much for you to
handle, I suggest you pop by Nam Heong instead, which is just directly across the road. Nam
Heong’s coffee is slightly milder and sweeter.

Kek Lok Tong
The Kek Lok Tong Cave Temple is a tourist attraction situated in the natural and picturesque area of Gunung Rapat in the south of Ipoh - the capital of Perak state in west Malaysia. The cave temple sits on a 12 acre site and was used as early as 1920 as a place of worship. In 1960, the cave became part of an iron mining site, this temple is set in a huge cave in
the limestone outcrops behind Gunung Rapat, about 5km south of Ipoh City.
The Kek Lok Tong complex comprises a central altar featuring a number of Buddhist figures as well as various deities of the Chinese pantheon. The most unique about the caves is there are another great garden view once you get inside the caves. The limestone hill is made up of light grey to white crystalline Kinta limestone interbedded with about 5mm to 1cm
think argillaceous material bands. Primary iron can still be seen within the limestone. The award winning landscape garden features a jogging path circling two lakes and one of the longest reflexology footpaths in Ipoh.

Nam Tian Tong TempleNam Thin Tong Temple(Cave of the Southern Sky) is located in between Sam Poh Tong Cave and Ling Sen Tong Cave.
Nan Tian Dong Taoist Cave Temple ("Nam Thien Tong" in Cantonese) is sandwiched between Ling Xian Yan and the further inward, Sam Poh Tong Buddhist Cave Temple. It used to be ranked at par with the Sam Poh Tong and whenever you mentioned Sam Poh Tong, you will automatically associate it with the name of Nam Tian Tong. "Tong" is referred as
"cave" while "Nan" is South and the word "Tian" is sky; so if you translate that in English, it simply means, the Cave to host the various Buddhist figures from the southern Sky (heaven). As illustrated with the various colorful personalities and characters at the lower portion of the temple entry section. This is a Taoist Temple in its nature and its another alternative
name is Nan Dao Yuan ("Nam Tou Yun" in Cantonese), means College of Southern Religious Principles).
Legend says it was discovered by a Chinese Taoist priest named Kuong San Teik back in 1867 which means to say this temple has a long history of more than 120 years old. In fact, according to a well kept historical journal maintained by the
temple management committee, this current chief Taoist priest is at its fourth generation management.

Ling Sen Tong TempleLing Sen Tong is a beautiful Taoist cave temple located at the foot of a limestone hill in Ipoh, Perak. The name is literally translated as the Rock of Heavenly Spirits. Ling Sen Tong cave temple is located next door to Nam Thean Tong and Sam Poh Tong just off Jalan Gopeng on the southern outskirts of Ipoh.
The main compound of the temple is adorned with many statues of various designs - there are various animals, deities, and other characters from the Chinese folklore. The garden in front is decorated with colourful statues of characters from Chinese mythology such as the Monkey King from the classic tale Journey to the West.

Gua TempurungGua Tempurung is a cave in Gopeng, Perak, Malaysia. It is popular among spelunkers, or caving enthusiasts. About 3
km long, it is one of the longest caves in Peninsula Malaysia. Part of it has been developed as a show cave with
electric lighting and walkways and there are a range of tours of different lengths and difficulty. A fine river cave, the
river passage runs about 1.6 km through the hill. There are three very large chambers and some spectacular
stalactites and stalagmites.
Located in Gopeng, about 24km south of the capital city of Ipoh in Perak, this limestone cave is one of the largest in
Peninsular Malaysia. Although not as big as Niah Cave and Mulu Cave in Sarawak, beginners to caving exploration will
be glad to know that this cave is easy to explore. The tunnel of the cave runs from the east to the west covering a
distance of about 2km under the limestone hills known as Gunung Tempurung and Gunung Gajah. It is made up of 5
large domes and is believed to have existed since 8,000 B.C., about 10,000 years ago. It comprises of five huge
domes with cielings resembling cocunut shells. Each of these domes has different calcium formations and marble
there exist in differing temperatures and water levels. These caves are famous for its breath-taking gallery of
stalagmites, stalactites and other amazing rock formations that are superb speleological wonders, found only in this
part of the world.
There are various tours into the caves being the main attraction here. These caves are located under the limestone
hills and form tunnels that runs from east to west, nearly 1.9km in length. Visitors can experience these tours with
specific requirements of prior preparation. Certain tours such as the River Adventure Tours require visitors to bring a
change of clothes and shoes. Torch lights and safety helmets are available for rent.
For Gua Tempurung Dry Package Tour (tour 1) 1. Dress comfortably (consider T-shirts and long pants) and wear comfortable shoes or sandals with straps and good
grip. Hiking boots are the best as they provide better support for the ankles. 2. Bring mineral water. It is best to carry the bottle/s and other personal stuff in small backpack.
3. Camera and torchlight are optional. Your guide will bring a torch so you don't need to bring one. But if you come in a big group, additional torchlight will come in handy.
Other must bring: A change of clothes, towel and shoes/sandals (you need not bring these into the cave. Leave them in your vehicle as you
will need them only after the tour). Torchlight. Optional:
1. Camera. Don't bring expensive ones. Put camera in watertight plastic or container. It is a good idea to put everything in water-proof plastic bags so items won't get soaked.
2. Caving helmet. 3. First aid kid.
4. Extra torches and back-up batteries. Other Pointers
1. You don't have to bring food as there are stalls selling food, snacks and drinks outside Gua Tempurung. 2. Other facilities available include toilets, changing rooms, convenience store and prayer rooms (surau) for Muslims.
3. Cavers should be free from allergies related to limestone and bat guano.
Kinta River FrontThe Mini I-City of Ipoh which called the Kinta Riverfront Walk in Ipoh. There's not only some beautiful LED lights on the
trees (Just like I-City in Shah Alam), this Riverwalk also have some beautiful restaurant that faces the Ipoh river and frankly speaking, the river is not smelly and it's a good place to visit. Majority of the Ipoh people have a new spot to hang
on as Kinta Riverfront is a great spot to visit too with it's superior night LED lights on the trees and real trees too.
According to the developer it will be completed somewhere in 2010. The river walk at Kinta riverfront is a romantic place by the river bank. With the kaleidoscopic neon trees, superb reflection into the water, oldies in the air (from live band at
The Sands Bistro & Cafe), it is a perfect place to enjoy an evening stroll. On one side of the riverbank, the canopy is studded with twinkling sapphire and white lights, almost creating an illusion of a mini meteorite shower. A really stunning
place to be. Enjoy the photos below. Head towards another side where there lies a mini Palong Tin Mining Gallery Museum.
Open Time: Everyday Address : Jalan Lim Bo Seng, 30000 Ipoh City, Perak Darul Ridzuan.
