A look at the application…
•The ‘advice’ and ‘more’ sections can be fully customized. The name of the section may be changed, IT Job Board have ‘Blog’ instead of ‘Advice’.
•Each section can either contain Web Links or RSS.
•Web Links take the user to a web page, whilst remaining in the application.
•RSS can show multiple RSS feeds then the associated headlines drilling down to the article copy.
•The Web Links or RSS feeds are app settings taken from the web. This means they can be instantly changed or updated without requiring a new application to be deployed.
‘Advice’/ ‘More’ Sections of your application

Promotion, Promotion, Promotion
An application can be downloaded in two ways…
1.Via AppStore in iTunes on a computer.2.Via AppStore on the iPhone.
There is no other, legal, method.
To promote your application there are a few options…
1.Hotlink to the app page on iTunes. This provides the user a call to action to download the application. The user has to have iTunes installed for this to work.2.Link to a webpage which has screenshots of the app and description. This enables people at work to look at your app, but there is no download call to action – except linking to iTunes.3.Pay Apple: expensive and not readily available.
Whichever option you choose, the key is to shout about it everywhere to everyone – Facebook, Twitter, e-marketing etc. It is CRITICAL to launch all the marketing at once as soon as the app goes live. The first few weeks of download rates will set where in the AppStore the app ranks, for quite some time. The higher you are, the easier it is to stay there.
A few of our ideas for future development…
Push notification job alerts
Maps showing jobs
Call me buttonMaps to select search area
Augmented jobsLinks to videos
