2016 INDIGENOUS PEOPLE’S DAY PARADE Monday, October 10, 2016 SPPS Indian Education Program will be recognizing Indigenous People’s Day on Monday, October 10, 2016. We invite you to join us in celebration. “Water Is Life” is the parade theme. Participants are encouraged to be creative with this theme or a theme that represents Indigenous People’s Day. You’re welcome to watch or join the parade as children and community organizations celebrate Indigenous People’s Day. Upon arrival, lunch will be served, and there will be speakers and demonstrations from students and local community members at Indian Mounds Park. Parade, Food, Speakers, Demonstrations! Celebrate this day with community! Parade starts 11:00am at the American Indian Magnet School 1075 E.
