IPC media are a experienced media distribution company. They are very successful and have a produced one of the most well known magazines ever ‘NME’ they also produce a magazine called ‘Uncut’. Because of IPC’s success I think they would be an excellent choice to distribute my magazine. Both of the magazines mentioned above are rock/Indie magazines for this reason I think there is a gap perfect for the genre of my magazine and it would fit in well as something different to the magazines already being produced.

Bauer Media are also a successful media distribution company and produce a number of magazines, some of the magazines are hugely successful for example ‘Mojo’, ‘Q’ and ‘Kerrang’. Because of Bauers success I think they would be a good choice to produce my magazine. The 3 magazines mentioned above all have a older target audience and a completely different genre to my magazine for this reason I think there is a gap which my magazine could fill in this company.

I think that IPC would be the right choice to distribute my magazine because they have been very successful with a number of magazine but only have Rock/Indie magazines. If they had a different genre that would oppose this rock genre it could be very successful and attract a wider audience for IPC. A new R’n’b Genre could potentially attract more audiences therefore making my magazine a success.

The social class for my magazine would be B/C1 and I believe IPC already have magazines that target this social class therefore my magazine would suit IPC.

I think IPC would benefit massively to a change in genre away from Rock magazines and step into a fresh idea of R’n’b genre, I also think this would boost there reputation and variety massively and help to attract a wider audience rather than just those who enjoy rock.

Having a similar magazine to NME in a different genre could benefit IPC because having competition in its own magazines is good and helps to attract more people, a little friendly competition would be good for IPC.

My magazine could be a successful magazine a long with NME and could help IPC to be successful in more than just one genre.
