INDALIN Technology for Production of Petrochemicals Feedstocks-light olefins & BTX High olefinic streams like coker naphtha /visbreaker naphtha cannot be directly blended in the gasoline pool and shrinking refinery margins due to their lower value. These low value streams need to be upgraded to valuable products for improvement in refinery profit margin. On the other hand, LPG, light olefins, viz. ethylene, propylene, etc. are in increasing demand for value addition and downstream integration with petrochemicals. The biggest challenge to Refiners is to upgrade the low value streams to valuable products for improvement in Refinery margin. INDALIN, a new patented process technology, developed by IndianOil R&D has capability to convert low value olefinic naphtha streams to LPG / light olefins and BTX enabling refineries to improve profitability.
