iO Connect voice service offers both Direct SIP Trunking and ISDN PRI services to your existing PBX. There are three components necessary to successfully launch iO Connect: a legacy PBX or SIP enabled PBX, an enterprise edge device, and Stage 2 Networks as your voice and data service provider.

PBXIn most cases the phone system is an IP-based PBX, communicating with all endpoints over IP, but it may just as well be a traditional digital or analog PBX.

BORDER ELEMENTThe PBX on the LAN connects to Stage 2 via the enterprise border element. The enterprise edge component can either be a firewall with complete support for SIP or an Integrated Access Device (IAD), handling the traversal of the voice traffic.

STAGE 2 NETWORKSAll calls traverse a dedicated internet circuit to Stage 2’s network with connectivity to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN).

Stage 2 iO Connect incorporates an internet connection that provides our customers with world class quality of service (QoS) through T1, Ethernet over Copper (EoC), Ethernet over Fiber (EoF), or our Quantum MPLS network. Diverse dial plans of 1,000, 500 and 250 domestic outbound minutes per trunk (local, regional, & long distance), or a measured calling plan that is built on a per minute basis can be layered onto each iO Connect solution.

Users can also take advantage of a la carte add-ons and mobility options to enhance their existing PBX. Stage 2’s iO Connect can be deployed in two forms:
