The Department of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Rush University Medical Center is pleased to announce a national educational conference titled Rush Update in Otolaryngology 2017. This will be a comprehensive 2-day program that is dedicated to the study of contemporary issues in ear, nose, throat, head and neck disorders. The course will take place from May 12-13th, 2017 in the Searle Conference Center on the Rush campus in Chicago.
Practicing physician participants have requested this type of continuing medical education activity to provide for a method of assimilating new medical knowledge into individual practices, to offer a forum to share and validate current practice standards and to incorporate new strategies in the management of the patient with ear, nose, and throat disorders in a very much evolving field.
objectiveS | at the concluSion oF the Meeting, attendeeS Should be able to:› Review definitions and endotypes of chronic rhinosinusitis, including fungal sinusitis› Describe the role of endoscopic sinus surgery for chronic sinusitis, with focus on frontal sinus disease› Review management of refractory sinonasal polyposis› Discuss the diagnosis and management of laryngopharyngeal reflux› Identify the management options for thyroid and parotid neoplasms› Discuss the role of transoral robotic surgery for head and neck cancer› Appreciate cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment options for adult and pediatric obstructive sleep apnea› Review office and OR surgical options in facial plastic surgery› Comprehend skin cancer management, including reconstruction in ENT practice› Discuss management options of acoustic neuroma and otogenic CSF leaks› Discuss diagnosis and treatment of Eustachian tube pathology
