PROPOSED INTERIOR FURNISHING WORKS FOR BANK OF INDIA, BAGAN DADPUR BRANCH,

MURSHIDABAD

1. Tender are hereby invited on behalf of M/s BANK OF INIDA, Zonal Office, Siliguri to carry out the furnishing

works.

2. Contract document/ consisting of the plans, Complete Specification, the schedule of quantities of the various

classes of work to be done and the set of condition of contract to be complies with by the person whose tenders may

be accepted, which will also found in the form of tenders.

3. Tenders which should always be placed in sealed cover with the name of project written on the envelopes will be

received by BANK OF INDIA, ZONAL OFFICE, siliguri up to 4:00 P.M on 02/06/2016 And will be opened by

him/ authorized office in his office on the same day at 5:00 P.M. The tenders received after the stipulated time will

not be accepted.

4. Tender are to be on the prescribed format which can be obtained from the office of BANK OF INDIA, ZONAL

OFFICE, SILIGURI. The time allowed for carrying out of the work for the Furnishing will be 30 days from the

same day after the date of written orders to commence work.

5. The contractors should quote in figures as well as in words the rate and amount tendered by them. The amount for

each item should be worked out and requisite totals given.

6. When contractors signs a tender in an Indian Language the tendered amount and the total amount tendered should

also be written in the same language. In the case of illiterate contractors the rate or the amounts tendered should be

attested by a witness.

7. Issue of tender form will be upto 2.00 p.m on 02-06-2016.

8. Each tender is to be in a sealed cover super/ scribed “Tender for the Interior Furnishing & Renovationwork for Bank

of India, Bagan Dadpur Branch, Murshidabad, West Bengal”.

9. Clarification, if any to be

11. The contractor, whose tender is accepted will be required to furnished by the way of security deposit by cheque or

bank guarantee for the due fulfillment of his contract, such sum as will amount to:

a) 2% of the estimated cost of work.

12. The acceptance of the tender will rest with BANK OF INDIA, ZONAL OFFICE, SILIGURI. And will not be bound

to accept the lowest tender, and reserve the authority to reject any or all of the tender received without assigning any

reason. All the tender in which any of the prescribe condition are not fulfilled or are incomplete in any respect are

liable to be rejected.

13. Canvassing in connection with tender is strictly prohibited and the tender submitted by the contractor who resort to

canvassing will be liable to rejection.

14. All rate shall be quoted on the proper form of the tender alone.

15. An item rate tender containing percentage below/ above will be summarily rejected. However, where a tender

voluntarily offers a rebate for payment with a stipulated period , this may be considered.

16. On acceptance of the tender, the name of the accredited representatives of the contractor who would be responsible

for taking instruction for the bank/ architect shall be communicated to the bank.

17. Special care should be taken to writ the rates in figure as well as in words and the amount in figures only, in such a

way that inter collation is not possible . The total amount should be written both in figures and in words. In case of

figures the words ‘Rs’ should be written before the figures of rupees and words ‘P’ after the decimal figures. e.g.

Rs.2.15 “P” and in case of words. The word ‘ Rupees’ should precede and the word paisa should be written at the

end, unless the rate is in whole rupees and followed by the words ‘only’. It should invariably be upto two decimal

places. While quoting the rate in schedule of quantities the word ‘only’ should be written closely following the

amount and it should not be written in the next time.

18. Sales tax or any other tax on material or on finished works like works contract tax, turnover tax, etc., in respect of

this contract shall be payable by the contractor and the bank will not entertain any claim, whatsoever in this respect.

19. The tender for works shall remain open for acceptance for a period of 4 weeks from the date of opening of tenders.

If any tenderer withdraws his tender before the said period, then the bank shall be at liberty to forfeit the Earnest

Money paid along with the tender.

20. The tender of the work shall not be witnessed by a contractor or contractors who himself / themselves has/have

tendered or who may had/ have tendered for the same work. Failure to observe this condition would render tender of

the contractors tendering as well as witnessing the tender liable to summary rejection.

21. It will be obligatory on the part of the tendered to tender and sign and tender documents for all the component parts

and that, after the work is awarded, he will have to enter into an agreement for each component with the component

authority in the bank.

22. The tender apart from being a component contractor must associate and co-ordinate with the other allied agencies of

the appropriate class.

23. In the event of correction, overwriting, addition occurrence at the time of filling rate in words and figures, the

number of such correction, overwriting, alternation shall be entered at the relevant space marked as “C” , “O” and

“A” in each pages of schedule of quantities.

GYPBOARD CEILING :Providing and fixing 12.5mm tapered edge Gypboard (confirming to IS: 2095 - 1982) is then screw fixed to existing ceiling section with 25mm drywall screws at 230mm centers. Screw fixing is to be done mechanically either with screw driver or drilling machinewith suitable attachment. The boards are to be jointed and finished so as to have a flush look which includes filling and finishing the tapered and square edges of the boards with jointing compound. No extra payment will be made for the cutting of the light points, stain glass , cove lighting, etc.Rate should also include the dismantling of the existing gypboards and extra perimeter channel, ceiling section and hangers if necessary. The joints to be properly mended with papertapes and gypsum compounds, two coats of drywall topcoat all complete.The rate should include the full completion of the ceiling along with levels as per design including acrylic emulsion paint finish.At the time of handing over the site,all necessary repairing workto be considered if required. All exposed plywood surfaces to be finished with 1mm thick laminate of approved make and shade and all exposed edges of table top and ply verticals shall have TW lipping. All exposed TW sections to be melamined and internal surfaces to have white enamel paint as directed. Item shall include plywood boxin, all necessary hardware and fittings in staineless steel finish, etc. complete in all respects. drawer units (for cerk tables) shall be provided with multipurpose godrej locks in each drawer. Facia of each drawer unit shall be finished with 1 mm thick laminate and all other sides shall be finished with white enamel paint. Vertical Drop (Horizontal Band) : It shall be provided on the facia below the working top made with 19 mm thick plywood finished 1mm thick laminate with provision for concealed light. 1 mm thick grrove shall be provided at the joint of two different shades of laminates. 4. Glazed partition (height 1'-4") : To be provided above working top with 12 mm thick toughenedand frosted glass besides non-transparent film from inside fixed to partition as per fixing details provided by the consultant and to boxing with concealed S.S. finished 'D' brackets.

Transaction top : it shall be provided with 12 mm thick toughened glass(partly glazed and partly frosted) fixed horizontally with concealed stainless steel 'D' bracket. Facia of the drawer unit shall be finished with 1 mm thick laminate and all other sides shall be finished with white enamel paint. the drawers shall be provided with handles (stainless steel finish) and channels as per approval of the architect.

Side to be made out of 12mm plywood and bottom, back made out of 6mm plywood and it should play on drawer sliding channel. Drawer and sliding shutter inside to be synthetic enamel painted. The sliding shutter made out of 19mm block board with 1mm laminate finished and should play on alluminium channel all four sides. The necessary godrej multipurpose lock, brass hinges, 4" brass matt finish handle,4" brass matt finish sliding handle etc to be provided. 3"x 1/2" white beach/ white cedar wooden skirting with natural polish to be provided as per matching tone all along the visible areas. Inside of the unit to be synthetic enamel painted in matching tone. All the expose edges of the boards/plywood to be covered with white beach/white ceader lipping/ mouldings with natural polishall completed. side and back unit top will have 1 1/2"x 1" white beach/white ceader moulding with natural polish at front facia. Handrail to have25mm decorative insert.Control unit shall be ofderlin.The runnerd are also to be a derlin with anti flixtion adhesive.Spacers should be made of stainless steel. fabric should be polyster viscosted/ polyester yarn having protective coating with chemicals for stain resistence and soil repelancy. Providing and laying Kota stone platform of 19 mm thick and 2'-0" wide and at 2'-8" high above finished floor level with machine polished edge in the pantry.
