Inviolability of life

• Human life is not just an idea• Human life is the concrete reality of

being that – lives, acts, grows and develops– is capable of love– Is capable of service to humanity

Page 4: Inviolability of Life

The Precious Life• Human life is precious because

– It is a gift from God which is forever– It is an expression of love– It is the fruit of love– No amount of money can surmount its costFor these reasons, a person’s right to life from

the period of conception should not be violated because it is likewise violating the moral order which is life itself

Man for, with, of, the other

God did not create man as a solitary being“Male and female he created them”

Gen 1:27

- The partnership of man and woman constitute the first form of communion between persons

- Man is a social being- If man does not enter into communion with others he

can neither live nor realize his gifts. That is why other is essential and that one could be for

another, as a man needs to be with another as a man could be the realization of another
