Introduction
The Iezer mountains are located in central Romania and are a part of the Southern Carpathians mountains group.
A group of private investors founded IEZER SA in order to pioneer the development of a skiing resort in the IEZER-Portareasa region in collaboration with the County Counsel Arges and the local authorities of the nearby villages Albesti and Leresti.
Skiing and tourism pre-feasibility studies have been already perform. The results show the high potential of the area. The market research also shows the big interest of customers for such a development.
At the moment studies are being performed to analyze the environmental aspects and the urban development possibilities.
