PEOPLE HAVE VARIOUS IDEAS AS TO “HOW” THIS DRAWING TAKES PLACE. SOME SAY:

DRAWN BY AN “INNER CALL” - THIS OFTEN IS IDENTIFIED WITH A CERTAIN FEELING.

DRAWN APART FROM ONE’S WILL - AN “IRRESISTIBLE CALL”

• THIS IS OFTEN CONNECTED TO THE “INNER CALL.” • THIS “IRRESISTIBLE CALL” IS USUALLY THOUGHT TO

BE GIVEN TO CERTAIN SPECIFIC INDIVIDUALS WHOM GOD CHOSE PERSONALLY BEFORE THE WORLD BEGAN.

• THE REMAINDER OF HUMANITY GOD CHOSE TO PASS OVER AND NOT TO CALL IN THIS MANNER. THEREFORE, THOSE TO WHOM THE “IRRESISTIBLE CALL” DOES NOT COME CANNOT BE SAVED.

JEREMIAH 31:3 - The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying,Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

JAMES 1:14 - But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

WE ARE DRAWN TO JESUS BY BEING TAUGHT OF (BY) GOD!

THE FATHER DOES NOT “DRAW” PEOPLE TO JESUS BY FORCE; HE DOES NOT “DRAG” US TO HIS SON.

HE PERSUADES US BY TEACHING US. THEREFORE THE “DRAWING” TO JESUS

IS NOT IRRESISTIBLE! II CORINTHIANS 5:10 For we must all

appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Verse 11 – “Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men;”

HOW DOES GOD TEACH US? II TIMOTHY 3:16

THE SCRIPTURES (WRITTEN WORD) IS GOD-BREATHED

I THESSALONIANS 2:13 For this cause also thank we God

without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

GOD CHOSE EARTHEN VESSELS (II CORINTHIANS 4:7) THROUGH WHOM TO REVEAL HIS WORD. HE HAD THEM WRITE IT DOWN SO THAT

draw all men unto me. This he said, signifying what death he should die.

THE “LIFTING UP” OF JESUS REFERS TO HIS DEATH ON THE CROSS. HIS DEATH WAS FOR ALL PEOPLE. II PETER 3:9 -The Lord is not slack

concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

I TIMOTHY 2:3-4 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

WHICH PEOPLE DOES THE FATHER WHICH PEOPLE DOES THE FATHER WANT TO DRAW TO THE SON?WANT TO DRAW TO THE SON?

THE FATHER SEEKS TO DRAW ALL PEOPLE TO THE SON.

NOTE: WE KNOW ABOUT THE DEATH OF JESUS, AND WE KNOW HOW TO BE SAVED THROUGH HIS DEATH THROUGH THE SCRIPTURES.

I CORINTHIANS 1:18 For the preaching (WORD) of the cross

is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

ROMANS 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of

Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

THOSE WHO ARE WILLING TO BELIEVE ARE “THE CHOSEN” OR “THE ELECT.” NO ONE IS PASSED OVER IN GOD’S DESIRE TO

SAVE. THOSE WHO “RECEIVE NOT THE LOVE OF THE

TRUTH” (VERSE 10) WILL PERISH. GOD DOES NOT WANT ANY TO PERISH - II

PETER 3:9. SINCE GOD CALLS AND DRAWS BY TEACHING,

THIS IS NOT A SUBJECTIVE “INNER CALL” - NOT A FEELING. THE CALLING AND THE DRAWING THAT GOD
