Our School Match Savings Program is designed to give parents a hand up in sending their child to school. Since September, parents have been participating in this program with a goal to save $50. Their reward? Their deposits will be matched 100% to pay for their child’s school next year. You can help children work towards their dream by making a monetary investment in their future. We are looking for youth groups, small groups, or Sunday school classes interested in helping sponsor this popular program. Please email us at [email protected] for details. INVEST HOPE NEWSLETTER June 2014 UPDATE: from the field David and I have been busy working for the mission and raising our kids. Odessa is 5 years old now and I am learning to enjoy to homeschool her. She is fluent in English and Haitian Creole and speaks some French. Her favorite subject is gym which we do at the beach! Omri just turned a year old and he is running, not walking, everywhere! He has kept us on our toes from minute he was born (2.5 months early!) and teaches us daily to enjoy every minute with him as they are going by so quickly. We have been through several nannies the past year looking for the right fit for our family. This past week we hired Annie, a nanny who comes highly experienced. Please be in prayer with us that we would feel confident in her taking care of the kids while we are 45 minutes away at work. We have another huge prayer request. We are currently wading our way through David’s visa application process for him to be able to visit the US. Odessa is due to receive her visa in November. Her adoption started on May 8, 2010 and we are hopeful she will receive her visa to immigrate to the states in November. Lord willing, she will then become a US citizen. Thank you for your continued support of our family’s mission work in Haiti. God has been so good to us and we strive to spread the HOPE He has given us through His son Jesus! Chantal is Ginny & David’s foster daughter who has lived with them for the past year and a half. She is a hardworking kid who is a former “restavek” (aka slave child). They continue to work with her birth mother with the intention of Chantal being reunited with her, living with her full time one day. Currently Chantal visits them weekly and sometimes stays with them for the weekend.

Their family needs a lot of prayer, as do Ginny & David, as they try to help them be reunited permanently.

Invest Hope supports Chantal fi nancially. There is no money received from the Haitian government to care for her. We are happy to report that she is fully-funded through December 2014. It costs $250/monthto support our Foster program.

Our Microloan program is still going strong. Pictured here with Ginny are three ladies who recently completed the training session required to receive a microloan from Invest Hope. Built into this program is God’s word and how He cares for each of us; how children are a blessing from the Lord; and how He is the God of Second Chances lavishing us with Grace. Please join us in praying for the success of these women and their businesses.

Our newest board member, Sheree, has been working hard in Ohio to share Invest Hope with area elementary schools. The teachers are really impressed with the philosophy of our mission and selected Invest Hope to be the recipient of their annual “biathlon” fundraiser in May! The kids have been asking Sheree a lot questions about Haiti and the children there. It is wonderful that they are so interested in Invest Hope.

Here is Sheree with some of Mrs. Wilson’s class after the presentation.
