Inventory Data Extraction

The following steps are executed for inventory extraction from R/3 to BW system.

Logon to R/3 system and enter the transaction code SBIW.

1. Delete the Contents of the Setup Table.

In the main screen Display IMG, click on the options in the order , Settings for Application-Specific DataSources Logistics Managing Extract Structures Initialization Delete the Contents of the Setup Table.

Execute the deletion of tables(F8). This is done to ensure that data that has not already been setup is available and also for performance reasons.

2. Stock Initialization

In the main SBIW screen, Click on the options in the following order - Settings for Application-Specific DataSources Logistics Settings Inventory Controlling Stock Initialization

In the screen, BW: Initialization of opening stocks in transfer structure, enter the input fields 1. Name of the run,2. Termination date,3. Time of Termination,4. Transfer Structure (2LIS_03_BX)5. Specify the plant for which the data needs to be initialized. (Make sure that the plants are entered one at a time)6. Check mark the option “All stocks(including non valuated stocks)Then execute the initialization. (F8)

This is done to ensure the correct transfer of initial stock to SAP BW.

3. Setting up of statistical data for material movement using data source 2LIS_03_BF & 2LIS_03_UM

In the main screen, Display IMG, click on the options in the order , Settings for Application-Specific DataSources Logistics Managing Extract Structures Initialization Filling the Setup Table Application-Specific Setup of Statistical Data Perform Setup – Inventory Management, as shown in the below screenshot.

Then execute Perform Setup - Inventory Management.A popup appears with 2 options :1. Setup: Material Movements(for datasource 2LIS_03_BF)2. Setup: Invoice Verification, Revaluation(for datasource 2LIS_03_UM)

First select the option Setup: Material Movements and then Setup: Invoice Verification, Revaluation

We get the screen Statistical Setup of InfoStructures from Material Movements as shown below.

Enter the input fields1. Plant(Make sure that the plants are entered one at a time and executed in the background one at a time)2. Material Doc(Example 2002 to 2003)3. Name of run4. New run ( Check mark this option)5. Date of termination(Specify a future date)6. Time of termination

Execute this in the background.

4. Load data into cube ZIC_C03 from datasource 2LIS_03_BX and select update mode as General Initial Status.

Logon to the BW system and use transaction RSA1, then find the infosource Material Stocks (as of 2.0B)(2LIS_03_BX)

Select the infopackage Stock Initialization for Inventory Management. In the Maintain Infopackage screen, click on the update tab and ensure that the radio button Generate Initial Status is selected as shown in the screen shot.

Then schedule the data load immediately.

In RSA1, click on Infoprovider, find the cube ZIC_C03. Right click on the cube and select Manage from the context menu. In the Manage Data Target screen, find the request number for the load performed earlier(Stock Initialization)

Then click on the tab collapse and enter the Request ID and make sure that the option No Marker Update is unchecked. Then click on Release(Compress) as shown below.

5. Load data into cube 0IC_C03 from datasource 2LIS_03_BF and select update mode as Initialize Delta Process.

Find the infosource Material movements (as of 2.0B)(2LIS_03_BF).

In the maintain infopackage screen, select the tab update and make sure that the update mode Initialize Delta Process is selected as shown below. Then schedule the data load immediately.

Compress the request with no marker update checked

In RSA1, click on Infoprovider, find the cube 0IC_C03. Right click on the cube and select Manage from the context menu. In the Manage Data Target screen, find the request number for the load performed earlier(Material Movements)

Then click on the tab collapse and enter the Request ID and make sure that the option No Marker Update is checked. Then click on Release (Compress) as shown below.

6. Load data into cube 0IC_C03 from datasource 2LIS_03_UM and select update mode as Initialize Delta Process.

Find the infosource Revaluations(as of 2.0B)(2LIS_03_UM).

In the maintain infopackage screen, select the tab update and make sure that the update mode Initialize Delta Process is selected as shown below. Then schedule the data load immediately.

Compress the request with no marker update checked

In RSA1, click on Infoprovider, find the cube 0IC_C03. Right click on the cube and select Manage from the context menu. In the Manage Data Target screen, find the request number for the load performed earlier (Revaluations)

Then click on the tab collapse and enter the Request ID and make sure that the option No Marker Update is checked. Then click on Release (Compress) as shown below.

7. Load data into cube 0IC_C03 from datasource 2LIS_03_BF and 2LIS_03_UM and select update mode as Delta Update.

Create an infopackage for periodic background schedule with update mode, Delta Update for both the Infosources 2LIS_03_BF(Material Movement) and 2LIS_03_UM(Material Revaluation).

For compression of these 2 data requests, make sure that the indicator for No Marker Update is not selected

Go to LBWE in r3 click on job control and schedule the job for deltas to capture.

In BW create process chain for deltas BF and UM. Schedule daily chain
