This workshop is designed for contractors interested in gain‐ing the basics of solar thermal. From knowledge to network‐ing, this workshop is your ticket to entering the green econ‐omy.

Cost: $40 See full outline on reverse side. About the instructor: Christopher Beebe has exten‐sive expertise in solar thermal technologies, energy project development, and clean energy deployment. During the past year, he has served in an advi‐sory capacity to both California and Massachusetts stakeholders as part of their respective solar thermal incentive design proc‐ess. Prior to his work as a con‐sultant, he designed and man‐aged National Grid’s solar ther‐mal rebate program, and over‐saw the design and installation of solar heating and cooling sys‐tems for Honeywell.

Introduction to Solar Thermal is a full‐day workshop providing a general overview of solar thermal technology and its applications. Content covered includes an introduction to system design, installa‐tion and inspection; a market overview of policy drivers and incen‐tives; and information on how to build a solar thermal business, in‐cluding info about training, marketing, pricing and profit margins.
The goal of the workshop is to provide participants with the back‐ground necessary to make informed decisions about next steps for their business.

The workshop will be held on April 1 at Economy Plumbing (875 Morton Street. Boston, MA 02126). Registration opens at 8:30 AM. The workshop will be led by Chris Beebe, a partner and principal engineer at Sustainable Edge environmental consultants. Chris is an expert in the field and has managed or consulted on dozens of solar thermal projects.
