The All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society’s Institute of Information technology was established in August 1999. This college is a self-financing Institution and affiliated to the S P Pune University. It is approved by the AICTE, New Delhi and the Director of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra. The college has well qualified and dedicated staff. All the branches, namely Computer, Electronics, Instrumentation, Electronics and Telecommunications, Information Technology and Electrical have well-equipped laboratories. The college has good infrastructural facilities which include Library, Gymkhana and Playground etc. The college has received A Grade in NAAC Accreditation. The college has received accreditation from National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi, for Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Instrumentation Engineering. The college has also received Permanent Affiliation from S P Pune University for Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Instrumentation Engineering. NITTTR, Kolkata envisions to be the lead resource institute for promoting excellence in technical education, management education and vocational education & training system. Use of online and blended approach allows participants to complete a significant part of training online, thus reducing the time which must be spent on face-to face synchronous interaction. This program is approved project on National Mission on Education through ICT (MHRD, Government of India). Network security is the process of securing information data from unauthorized access, use, modification, tempering, or disclosure over the network. With the increased use of electronic media in our personal lives as well as businesses, the possibility of security breach and its major impact has increased. The theft of personal identity, credit card information, and other important data is being hacked by hackers which may lead to loss of business for commercial organizations. This course will help in start-ups and employment opportunities in network security domain. The faculties shall be also trained specifically as knowledge creator with strong practical skills and theoretical details. AISSMS IOIT has been recognized as a remote center for NITTTR Kolkata, being responsible for Coordinating STTP on Introduction to Network Security (ICT05). After completing this programme, the participants will be able to, Describes the fundamentals of Network Security. Demonstrate how to maintain the privacy of computer data.
