Velocity Exercise -- IndividualTime: 10 min
Two cars sit at a red light, revving their engines. When the light changes, both cars floor it.
Find the velocities of each car in .5 second increments for t = 0 to 10 seconds if:The red car takes off at v = 12t + t2 m/s.The black car takes off at v = (8 + t)t + t2 m/s.
Which car wins?

Goal Seek Used to find a specific result in one cell
(that contains a formula) by changing another cell (that contains one of the components of the formula)
Goal Seek – How to Find it
Click the Data tab
Click on What-IfAnalysis And then Goal Seek
Goal Seek $B$1 Contains a formula such as
=$A$1 * 2 Goal Seek would find which value of $A$1
would set $B$1 to 4, in this case, 2
Goal Seek In the case of multiple valid answers, you
must provide Goal Seek with an initial guess.
Goal Seek Uses Find Roots of an equation Find a break even point in economic
forecast
Team Exercise You are given $1000 today. What interest
rate (compounded Annually) is needed in order to have $10,000 after 15 years?
F = P(1+I)n
F = Final Amount P = Present Amount I = Interest Rate N = Number of Periods Estimated Time Needed : 10 minutes
