Type of document When it was modified

Document libraries offer many more features than the traditional network folder. In each library you can view certain attributes

ADDING DOCUMENTS WHEN INSIDE THE LIBRARY

This brings up a new window

To add a new document -select ‘Add document’

Select ‘Browse or Upload Multiple Files’

Select the document(s) you want and press ‘OK’

EDITING DOCUMENTS IN A DOCUMENT LIBRARY

Select ‘Edit in Microsoft Word’ to edit the document

Click on the down arrow

EDITING THE PROPERTIES OF A DOCUMENT

Select ‘Edit Properties’

Click on the down arrow

Edit the properties you want and select ‘Save’

DOCUMENT VERSIONS

Select ‘Version History’

Click on the down arrow

Find the version you want and select ‘Restore’

Every time you edit a document a copy of the previous one is kept in the library. You can access the previous 12 versions and restore any of these over current one.

SENDING A LINK TO A DOCUMENT

Select ‘Sent To’ then ‘Email a Link’

Click on the down arrow

Instead of sending documents as email attachments, you can send a link to the document within an email (the links will not work for external (non WWH) people)

This opens up a new email and inserts the link into it
