6 THE BELLIZZI BRAND

We exclusively produce the Bellizzi brand of Fresh Roasted Whole Beans and Ground Coffees.

The name derives from a small town located on the South West coast of Italy, deep in the heart of a region that has a long heritage in coffee roasting. At one time, coffee was roasted here over Oak Chips to create wonderful, mysterious and complex aromas with a unique flavour.

We have sought to honour this historical heritage by creating a range of premium coffees that respect the traditional passion and craftsmanship whilst using blending and roasting techniques that are ‘state of the art’ to produce vibrant, rich flavours to be enjoyed by everyone – whether you simply enjoy excellent coffee or are a real connoisseur !

Our Coffees are sourced from some of the worlds finest coffee plantations, then carefully blended and roasted here in the UK by craftsmen with many years experience of their trade, on the latest technology roasting equipment, to perfection.

Our smaller batch roasting process ensures that your coffee is at maximum freshness when you receive it; you can be confident our coffees haven’t spent weeks and months in transit or in a warehouse losing their natural oils and flavours.

In Naples, espresso bars provide the heartbeat of this incredible lively and exciting city.

Here, over fifty years ago, one family developed a passionate coffee roasting business to meet the local demand. This thriving business grew and continues today. Through seeking the finest green coffees from around the world, they blend, roast and package fine espresso coffee that makes Kimbo a leader in the Italian market. Today, Kimbo exports successfully in many countries and here in the North West region of the UK, we are proud to represent this wonderful range of exquisite coffees and share with the world one of the finest coffee experiences possible- espresso Italiano!

Caffè Kimbo has always focussed on keeping quality consistently high through a rigorous selection of the raw materials and scrupulous processing - an objective achieved thanks to careful monitoring of the whole production chain and the application of cutting-edge technology.

FAIR TRADE AND RAINFOREST ALLIANCE

Coffee 1652 work directly with the coffee traders of the green coffees from the Monte Sion Plantation and have close ties with the plantation’s owners, Dr & Mrs Urrutia. The Urrutia family have worked tirelessly over recent years to ensure the welfare of the people they employ to work with them – helping to build good quality housing, secure fresh water & sanitation, excellent working conditions, fair pay and access to local healthcare. Dr Urrutia has been closely involved in the development of a local medical centre, to ensure that everyone is able to get medical assistance when they need it, the local children have all received a vaccination programme comparable with our own; children are encouraged to attend the local school that Dr Urrutia was involved in the development of and responsible for locating quality teaching staff. The story is a wonderful one of success - against very difficult odds.  In purchasing the award winning coffees, sourced from this plantation co-operative, you, too, are helping to support the wonderful work of Dr Urrutia and his hard working team in their community. You are helping to support the lifeline that the plantation has become to many people in the Monte Sion region and your purchases are ensuring that funds continue to flow directly to the source of the need, without the overheads of unseen organisations filtering it on the way.
