What is children’s literature? It is the entire body of literature read to

and by children. The number of works for children is

staggering. The range of children’s literature is huge. The history of publishing works for

children is long.

What qualifies as a “good” book? Good books expand awareness. Good books provide an enjoyable read

that doesn’t overtly teach or moralize. Good books tell the truth. Good books embody quality. Good books have integrity. Good books show originality.
