Who are we?

Cellomatics Biosciences is a specialised Contract Research Organisation (CRO) providing bespoke immunoassays and cell-based assays. Tailored bioinformatics and logistical services are also available to support our customers in their pre-clinical/clinical R&D studies and biomarker research.

Services we offer

Multiplex immunoassaysMultiplex immunoassays allow simultaneous detection and quantification of multiple analytes in a single sample from a variety of biological specimens including but not limited to serum, plasma, CSF, cell culture supernatants, sputum.

Multiplex nucleic acid testingMultiplex nucleic acid testing allows evaluation of gene expression, genotypes and miRNA anlaysis. We have a number of assays that are applicable to clinical diagnostics, infectious diseases and genetic (pharmacogenetic) testing. Luminex xTAG Technology products provide accurate, flexible, low-cost bead arrays.

Cell-based functional assaysWe have expertise in designing, developing, performing and analysing functional cell-based assays using different cell culture models including well-established cell lines and primary cells.

Contract cell cultureOur cell culture services include primary cultures of human origin as well as established cell lines. This facilitates the production of natural or recombinant proteins or for use in biological assays.

Molecular biologyWe have the capabilities to provide molecular biology based services for the isolation of Eukaryotic and Prokayrotic (Bacteria, Yeast, Plant, Baculovirus, Tissue Culture Cells, Primary Tissues): total RNA, cDNA and mRNA purification.

Antibody and recombinant protein expressionWe can produce milligram to gram quantities of monoclonal antibodies and recombinant proteins for your research. Provide us with your hybridoma or mammalian cell expression system and let us do the rest.

Clinical diagnostics – infectious diseasesWe are able to perform diagnostic tests for several infectious diseases including HIV, malaria and tuberculosis.

Pharmacological assaysSaturation binding and displacement assays use radiolabelled ligands to measure the binding of a drug to a receptor. This can be used to determine tissue expression of a given receptor and/or to determine a drug’s dissociation constant. We can also perform functional second messenger assays .
