Local and national eHealth implementation must occur in a global context and vice versa, i.e. from a “Glocal” perspective

The cheap, widely available ICT and Internet supports the shift from local to global healthcare. The internet permits the formation of worldwide networks of facilities with common features. Through these networks, local care facilities have access to global expertise that improves their access, quality and safety. This is glocal health care

The goal of glocal health care is a system which is open, high quality and will not waste of global or local resources

Global Partnerships lead to successful Local Solutions

WG Junior DoctorsWG Junior DoctorsThe ISfTeH Junior Doctors Working Group aims to spread eHealth knowledge at the level of Junior Doctors and involve them in Telemedicine and eHealth related initiatives. Junior doctors represent a generation already involved in clinical practice and particularly able to use new technologies and to figure out new ways of practicing medicine. For this reason they can be considered as a key component towards successful implementation of new technologies in health assistance and education, being a bridge between the worlds of students and senior doctors.
