Introduction

G. F Smith Photographic have been designing and making beautiful photographic books, frames, folder s an d m o u nt s

since 1985. Made by hand, using traditional methods and only the very best materials, our products are of a quality that

will last for generations.

If you can’t find what you are looking for and want something genuinely bespoke, or just need advice on the right product

G. F Smith Photographic albums are all bound by hand using our stunning Layflat system, which allows you to print across any

spread within the book with absolutely no disruption.

You can choose from our Standard Layflat album, create your perfect matted album using our Layflat Overlay solution or

select our starter Layflat Photobook.

Our standard albums come in a choice of eight cover styles, 59 cover materials, ten sizes, four photographic papers and one fine art with six different embellishments. The depth of choice,

quality of materials used and the excellence of the making means our albums are as beautiful and as unique as you could dream.

However, if you are after something even more bespoke, just get in touch, and we will help bring your vision to life.

Our albums are created using our PPS software (available for Mac and PC), or you can use software of your choice.

Based on our signature Layflat binding system, the Standard Layflat album comes in a choice of eight cover styles, 59 cover materials,

ten sizes, four different photographic and one fine art paper and six different embellishments. With all of these options, you have the opportunity to create something wonderfully

unique for each customer.

Layflat Overlay

The Layflat Overlay album has the same print, paper and binding quality as our standard Layflat album, but with the

images behind page overlays in either Black or White. You can mix overlays with plain printed pages all within the same book.

Layflat Photobook

This album has the same print and binding quality as the Standard Layflat. However, a lighter weight paper

and restrictions on size and page count — A4 portrait and landscape or 8” x 8” and only 10/ 20 pages — means that

we can make this the most affordable product in the range. The printed cover is available in matt and gloss.

B espoke

Because all of our albums are made by hand, creating something beyond our standard range is something we can do with relative ease.

Celebration PortfolioPortrait Album & B ox

This album has a printed cover and is available in A4 and 8” x 8” and with 10, 15 and 20 page capacities. It comes complete with a beautiful black clamshell box as standard.

These slip-in style covers – bound in Black or White soft faux book cloth – are a smart way to present two or three images. Overlays are available in Pristine White and Black.

The classic size is available in Black only.

Portrait B ox

This is available in two sizes 12” x 10” for 10” x 8” / 10” x 7 ” and 10” x 8” for 8” x 6” / 7 ” x 5” prints. It comes complete with ten beautiful bevelled edge mounts in a choice of Black / White, Ivor y / White, Baby

Pink or Baby Blue (mounts must all be the same colour). It comes complete with a beautiful presenta-tion box which has space for a USB stick (not included).

L inen Brag B ook

This small concertina folding book is available in twelve colours and takes six 4” x 3” prints. The L inen Brag B ook is a great little ‘add-on’ to offer your customer.

Acr ylic Presentation B ox

Our Acr ylic Presentation B ox is the perfect way to complete the presentation of your album. An image of your choice is mounted behind the acr ylic. It is available in A3, 14” x 10”, 12” x 12” and A4 .

USB & CD Cases

CD cases are available with a choice of covers in L inen, Kanvas, Printed and Leather L ike Smooth. L ike our albums, they can be foil blocked or debossed for personalisation. Single and double cases are

available in Leather L ike Smooth Black. USB cases are available in any of our twelve coloured papers. USB stick not included.

G. F Smith Photographic frames are moulded from the highest quality real woods, wood veneers and acr ylics.

Each has been carefully selected to create a range that will suit the needs of the most demanding professional

photographer — whatever the brief.

With five styles, six papers and three mount colours, our frames can be as unique as the image within. Printed on

light-fast Fujicolor Cr ystal Archive Paper, designed exclusively to produce high-quality colour prints.

This is a contemporar y wooden frame that is available in a variety of sizes and three colours. It appears to float due to the nature of the fixings at the back.

For this frame, the image is printed on photographic paper, with a choice of lustre or kanvas, laminated and is then mounted to the MDF. It can either be a single image or a collection

mounted to the back. The wood is available in White, Oak or Black, can be full face or Black or White edges.

We have an abundance of mouldings available in standard and bespoke sizes with or without single or double mounts.

Acr ylic & AluminiumContemporar y

NaturalsB ox

For the Acrylic frame, the image is printed and then bonded to the reverse of a 5mm thick acrylic sheet giving it greater luminance, depth and detail. For the Aluminium frame, the image is printed directly onto the sheet. It is available in both matt and gloss finishes – either of which gives stunning clarity to images.

Both frames have an invisible back hanging system which creates a ‘floating’ effect on the wall.

This design has an understated, contemporar y feel. It is formed from Ivor y or Black card and has a subtle raised border around the image.

This is produced in heavy weight Black card with a White bevelled cut aperture. A blocked border is not applied to this format, but your studio name can be blocked

on the overlay in White, Black or Silver foil.

Fairfield is a medium weight Folder and Mount in a choice of Black with a Silver Fine L ine border or Black, China White and Blue with a Gold Fine L ine border. Alternatively, you can

choose Black with a White border.

The Harewood is formed from Brown textured card and has a central aperture that is lined with a Gold foil block to frame the image.

The Panoramic Mount is produced in any one of our 12 colour cards, and it has a double aperture for a stunning effect.

Available in Black or White card, this understated folder can be blocked with the artwork of your choice, or left as it is with its round cornered aperture.

This Black mount has a matching Black back and complementar y Silver border. This is an excellent choice if you are looking for a high quality and value for money mount.
