You might think that different kinds of parrotfish eat different things but guess what? They all eat algae and coral. Did you know that parrotfish take in coral and turn it into sand? Some beaches in the US have sand that parrotfish have made!!! Isn't that cool?

part of the coral reef. This is where they find most food. They need nice safe homes so no predators can eat them. Who would want to eat a pretty fish like the parrotfish?

Parrotfish have some habits in their very tropical lives. They use their lips that looks like a beak to get food and parrotfish are also more active in the day than they are at night. Also like any other fish parrotfish travel in schools! WOW! I hope you’re learning from this! Are you?
