We are pleased to announce that our new Advisory Body Training Video is now ready for your use.

This is a mandatory training video for all appointees to City of Albany Advisory Bodies, covering important regulatory subjects such as the Brown Act and Conflict of Interest.

The videos also offer great insight into how to be an effective member to an Advisory Body, including interviews with our very own Advisory Body Members.

Your role as an Advisory Body Member to the City of Albany is valued and important, and the training video is intended to help all prepare new Advisory Body Members (and serve as a refresher for reappointed Members) for your service to the City of Albany and Albany City Council.

The training video is provided in an electronic format, and is divided into sections for ease of viewing.

Each video can be paused or played again as needed.

Please note there is a quiz at the end of each section. Please be sure to take a moment to complete the quiz as this helps us ensure the videos have been viewed.

Also, at the very end of the training series, there is an evaluation form. We would very much appreciate your feedback on this new version of “e-training”.
