TACTICAL STRATEGIC
John really requires User Rights Management
User Rights Management enables flexible control of policies, achieving optimal scenario
URM Functionality Options: Elevation
• Ideal for Non-Administrator users that require ‘specific’ Administrator rights
• Elevation of user rights for applications: Specify applications to run with Administrator credentials. The user is not an Administrator, but runs specific applications as an Administrator.
• Elevation of user rights for control panel applets: Elevate privileges for individual applets such as wireless internet, printer, date & time, ensuring a standard user can still make the changes they need to do their job.
URM Functionality Options: Reduction
• Ideal for Administrator users that do not require ‘Full’ Administrator rights
• Reducing Rights to restrict application rights: Specify applications to run with reduced credentials. The user has Admin credentials by default, but is forced to run specific applications as non-Admin.
• Reducing Rights to restrict access to system settings: Prevent an Administrative user from altering settings that they should not change. This could include firewall settings or to prevent the stopping of certain core services.
Summary
• User Virtualization is a recognized category and AppSense and the market leaders in this space
• Endorsed by Citrix and Microsoft and utilized by many global System Integrators
• Our unique scalable technology allows independent management of the user across computing platforms
