Community Involvement, Foundations and Volunteer WorkMy journey as a volunteer started when I joined Bernalillo County Fire District 2 in Albuquerque, New Mexico at 16. In 1987, I was given an award for saving an elderly family from a structure fire. Now, over 32 years later I continue to contribute to my community by coordinating the 25th reunion of fellow Police/Fire/EMS rescuers at the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake. On October 17, 2014, I donated an original Allied Ambulance Paramedic shirt to Oakland Fire in remembrance of the 63 victims & 3757 injured. PTSD effects thousands of Police Fire & EMS personnel.
