The assessment part of the course will be to produce a portfolio of work in groups. This could take the shape of a film or series of photographs.

Students will also be required to keep a journal (blog) that plots the progress of their work and understanding from the start of the module. This will also include behind the scenes footage, research and development of their final piece of work.

A blog simply lets you post stories, research, key information about your journey on this unit. At the end of the unit you have to present a film or photographic portfolio. You are required to use the blog to document this. Your ideas, processes and work in progress. A blog allows you to upload photos, sound, videos and some of the options below also work via mobile. You can also create pages to separate your work into e.g. Research | Development | Dives | Final Film or Photographs

To start your own blog for the unit you can use: Tumblr - www.tumblr.comWordpress - http://wordpress.com/Blogger - www.blogger.com

Once you have done that you need to pop along and see us at the Triton Scuba Dive Centre. Be sure to book early as not surprisingly, these courses are very popular. Don’t forget to bring along your certification card and log book when you book if you have previous training.

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS

Once you have completed a course with us you become eligible for a whole range of discounts; everything from equipment in the shop, to cut price deals on kit hire and boat trips.

HOW TO FIND US

We are conveniently located in Highland Road, Southsea, about 1 1/2 miles from the University and adjacent to Albert Road. If you are coming from town get onto Albert Road and keep going until you get to the Festing Pub (at the end of Festing Road). Go about 400 metres further, past the cemetery and we are on the left
