High Efficiency opticsSpecially designed optics in combination with super reflective silver-coated aluminium materials enable Miva to reach a high efficiency of more than 91% with excellent glare control. These features enable applications in many different situations especially those with the highest illumination demands.

Pendant versionAll Miva fixtures are ready for pendant version. Adjustable wire suspension set and power outlet are available in 1,5 m and 3 m standard lengths. Others on request.

Miva is available also as Miva Line system for continuous line realisation. See ‘Lighting systems’ chapter.

Daylight and presence sensorFor optimum performance, high efficiency optics are not enough. With intelligent daylight and presence detection systems is possible to increase energy savings dramatically. It’s very important that such systems are easy to install and easy to use. With a simple rotation on the sensor the user can select one of six different application modes such as single or open-space office, meeting room, corridor, etc.

This high-performance lighting fixture sets new standards in interior lighting. The multi-functional and modular system offers a diverse selection of optics to enable maximum performance in all situations. Single or double-lamp versions allow flexibility in the modular systems as well as the stand-alone fixture.

Miva Line is supplied with 7-pole through wiring with fast connectors which allows fast and simple line connection. This also allows many different switching possibilities or connection to dimmable systems and integration of emergency modules.

For optimum performance, high efficiency optics are not enough. With intelligent daylight and presence detection systems is possible to increase energy savings dramatically. It’s very important that such systems are easy to install and easy to use. With a simple rotation on the sensor the user can select one of six different application modes such as single or open-space office, meeting room, corridor, etc.

Details

Specially designed polycarbonate coupler enables fast and easy fixture connection.

All Miva Line modules include 7-pole through wiring and offers different switching cycles, dimming signals or emergency modules. Fast line connection is enabled by 7-pole quick connector

Power feed set (transparent cable and ceiling cup) is available in 3p and 5p version, both in 1500 and 3000 mm length. Example: DEB EM combination require 3p and 5p power feed.

Adjustable wire suspension set is available in 1500 and 3000 mm length. One set needed per fixture.

LAMP ORIENTATION

Ageing/lamp stabilisation:

Due to initial chemical stabilisation it is very important, that we age lamp for a period of 100 hours without switching and dimming. During this stage gases inside fluorescent tubes stabilize (mercury vapur is evently distribuited during complete length of the lamp) which result in better lamp bahaviour.Unstabilized lamps man not work correctly in terms of colour, rendering and flickering during dimming at low levels. As a consequence lamp may result with shorter service life.

Amalgam technology:Not only linear fluorescent tubes are affected by this matter. In some cases righ position can improove fixture efficiency also with compact fluoescent lamps. In many cases the heat is worst enemy of efficiency; lamps are affected by the heat and their lumen output is much lower than in normal room temperatures. In such cases we suggest to use lamps with Amalgam technology wich emits more light at higher temperatures.

Lamp orientation:To ensure otimum lamp performance in multi-lamp systems is strongly advised to position all lamps in a correct way. Normally the lamps must have the same orientation, but in multi-lamp overlapping techology it’s recommended to arrange the lamps in way that ‘cool’ spots and ‘hot’ spots are facing each other (manufacturer’s lamp label - cool spot).
