“Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. 13Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. 14But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. 16Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. 18Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first fruits of His creatures. So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; 20for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God”

Can we be tempted and not sin?

And it came to pass after these things that his master’s wife cast longing eyes on Joseph, and she said, “Lie with me.”… “So it was, as she spoke to Joseph day by day, that he did not heed her, to lie with her or to be with her… “But it happened about this time, when Joseph went into the house to do his work, and none of the men of the house was inside, 12that she caught him by his garment, saying, “Lie with me.” But he left his garment in her hand, and fled and ran outside”

DON’T YOU EVER BLAME GOD FOR YOUR TEMPTATIONS. V.13

There are many Christians that blame God when they are facing any kind of adversities in life.

Many believe that God is like a Genie in a Bottle.

You rub it when you need to and He will grant you wishes… WRONG!!!

“Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!” 10But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips”

Jesus mentions where the real problems in life come from…

“For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22“thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. 23“All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”

“Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

When it comes to SIN, nobody is strong…

Joseph never dared to play with sin, or with Potiphar’s wife. When he knew that he was naked, he ran away.
