Set interview

• By phone call• By email

• Set time for meeting: (3 – 4 dates when you can meet)

• Make sure you have reserved a room where you can conduct the interview and ensure the applicant knows how to get there

• Ask for CV

• Our product– features & benefits, S & D (Which kind of country partners we have and which kind of projects they have)

• Why we are better than our competitors (travel agencies,…)• • We have Unique product: • By our servis - help, • We are helping people to have volunteering experiences, get

to know different cultures, to do meaningfull work abroad.• We have references, huge network, a lot of opportunitie

You need to have:

• exact JDs, promo materials• references• know stories• statistics (for example: how much people we

sent last year as @ ČR)

How to prepare:

• Read CV – make notes• Have online form• Know questions and how to evaluate them

(viz. Record from webinar, trainings)

What not to do:

• Don´t ask more than 1 question in same time• Don´t use negative words• Don't judge answers• Don't be rude and unprofessional

Flow of meeting:

*During whole interview is really important to listen the customerwhole time and with questions to find out what is the reason s/hewanna travel abroad and use negociation to offer him/her the rightoptions for him/her.

1. Introduction:

• greet the student and offer him water/coffee/tee

• Ask if he/she have enough time you need. (do you have 20 min?).

• Introduce yourself and your colleague• Say some ice break to have possitive and

friendly atmosphere• Tell him/her how will be the process of this

interview and it´s purpouse

2. Introduction of AIESEC

• Ask what s/he knows about us• Explain what we do and why we do it:• we are the biggest international students organization in the World. We were

established after World war two to make peace in the World: our vision is Peace & Fullfilment of human kind potential

• What do we do is that we are developing leadership in young people through our four core products:

• International internships: Proffesional and Volunteering one, • Membership in organization: Member of organization, Teamleader of members

in org.

*It means that young people are developing themselves (competencies) by working

in intense and challenging environment.

• Which kind of projects we have, what are our country partners:

• We have 11 Country partners: Russia, Italy,

Romania, Turkey, India, Indonesia, Taiwan, Srí Lanka, Columbia, Brazil, Mexico.

• We have tree main sub-products: Global Citizen Cultural, Global Citizen Entrepreneur and Global Citizen Languages.

• -Explain general JD s of each sub-product.

3. Questions about him/her

• Use general questions – online form

• use STAR method:( Situation, Tasks, Actions, Results)

• Look for reason, motivation, exp., limitation • Find out need of the customer – why he/she

wanna go abroad and what s/he wanna do there

4. Show specific examples of what he/she can do:

• Based on Results of the customer show him concrete JDs of projects from one of the sub-products

• Use storytelling from EPs who were there.• Offer contact on people who went with us to

these country/on this project

5. Their questions:

• Give student space to ask questions

• It´s wierd if he/she doesn´t have any. (If she/he was really thinking about going he/she should have some)

6. Checking Expectations:

• Check if it´s what s/he expected.• If yes – great move on• If not – find out why? What's/he is imagining

differently

7. Next steps:

• Explain what will happen after this interview: how is the proces

• (Email -> Setting expectations + feedback->signing contract -> logging into database -> finding internship -> preparation for internship -> internship -> debriefing meeting/seminar or ToT.)

8. Follow up

• Repete on what you agreed – what will be the next step and when it will be.

• Make sure that students agree with that (s/he confirmed that)

• Ask for contacts of friends who might be interested.

• Thanks for students answers and time

• Make sure you have written all answers into online form and also assign points.

• Agree with student on next meeting where you will give feedback + set expectations and sign contract
