Q1: What emotions and characteristics do you expect to see in an indie music video?

The interviewee claimed that there would be a lot of emotion featured in an indie music video. This could suggest there is a wide range of different and intense emotions usually featured in indie music videos. We can incorporate this into our ideas and feature a range of different emotions in the music video. The participant also said that he would usually expect to see sad emotion featured in an indie video, this infers that sadness is the theme of most indie videos, which we can bare in mind when creating our video because we may need to have a theme of sadness too because it fits in with the genre of the band.

Q2: What comes to your mind when you think of the band ‘The Script’?

The interviewee said that The Script have a lot of emotional songs. This implies that the audience of The Script listen to their songs in emotional times, not in times of celebrating or partying. This is important because, from this, we understand that the songs from the artist we have chosen are meaningful and emotional. Therefore the music video will have to compliment this in an appropriate way.

Q3: What meaning do interpret from the song ‘The Man Who Can’t be Moved’?

The answer to this question was that the song involved a relationship which was sad, possibly about a breakup. The song’s meaning to the audience appears to be about a relationship failing, using this it gives us an idea for the video we will recreate. We could involve a couple who are in a relationship which is breaking down, however we could use the audience's interpretation as a way to make a twist in the video. For example we could focus the music video on something other than a relationship breakdown so that the audience will be more intrigued by the video and therefore are more likely to watch it more and consequently widening the audience for the band.
