    Dial-up Connection

    Dial-up access is a form of Internet access viatelephone line.

    The client uses a modem connected to a

    computer and a telephone line to dial into an

    ISP's node to establish a modem to modem link,

    which is then routed to the internet.

    Dial-up connection is the slowest internet

    connection, it is 17-53 times slower than

    broadband connection.

    It is not possible to make or receive phone calls

    when connected to the Internet.

    Broadband technology refers to the means by

    which access can be made faster with greater

    bandwidth. There are several such technologies,
