I will not give my name, address, telephone number, school, or my parents’ names, address, or telephone number to anyone I meet on the computer. I will not fill out any forms online that ask me for any information about myself or my family without asking my parents first.

Page 3: Internet safety for students

I understand some people online pretend to be someone else. Sometimes they pretend to be kids, when they are really grownups. I will not answer any emails or send e-mails to new people I meet online. I will not open any

e-mail attachments or download anything without getting my parents’ permission.

I will not share my passwords or personal information with anyone.

If someone asks me to do something I am not suppose to do, I will tell my parents and teacher.

I will not call anyone I meet online, send them anything, or meet them in person, unless my parents give their permission.

I will not purchase anything on line without asking my parents or give out any credit card information.

I will not say bad things about people on line, use bad language, or post pictures to hurt any one on line. I will not get into arguments or fights on line.

If I see something I do not like, or know my parents do not want me to view, I will immediately sign off that site and report it to my parents and my teacher.

I will not use something I copy on line and pretend I wrote it or created it.

Page 6: Internet safety for students

I will not post my picture or pictures of my friends, family, classmates without permission from my parents and/or teacher.

I will not keep secrets from my parents or teacher about what I do on line.
