The Goal of the project
◊ Project stakeholders are
X Schools => enable students to access the global knowledge sources
X Ministry of Education => increase the quality of the Albanian educational system and broaden the knowledge base of the young population in Albanian rural areas
X ALBtelecom => increase revenue and prepare platform for new revenue generators in rural areas
X Verso => create revenue and establish as a trusted business partner in Albania
◊ The Goal of the project is to
X Enable Internet access for 2000 Albanian primary and secondary schools within rural areas

◊ Albanian Ministry of Education awarded the ALBtelecom with project of Internet connectivity for schools
◊ Depending from the presence of the Service Provider on the geographical location where the school is located, following mediums will be used for schools connectivity:
X Fiber to the school
X ADSL
X Wireless Point-to-Point orPoint-to-Multi-Point
X Satellite connection

Wireless Point-to-Point or Point-to-Multi-Point
◊ This option will be used in cases where the Service Provider does not have Fiber, ADSL or HFC close to the schools building, and the school building has LOS (line of sight) with a tower of Service Provider
◊ Ceragon PtP links are chosen to be used as backhaul
◊ Motorola PtMP is to be used as a last mile infrastructure.
