Beulah Henry from Memphis Tennessee, Inventor

• She made 110 inventions and won 49 patents. She was born on February 11th and died in 1973

Valentina Vadimirona Tereshkova, Astronaut

• She became the first woman in space on June 16th aboard the Vostok6. Her codename for the mission was Chaika. Alhough more flights were planned in which women could participate, it was not until 19 years later when another woman, Suetlana Savitskaya, travelled to space.

Adelaide Labille Guiard Artist

She was born on April 11th, 1749 and died on April 24th,1803. Also known as Adelaide Labelli Guiard des Vertos, she was a French miniaturist and a portait painter.

Nancy Hopkins, Scientist

• She is an American molecular biologist.

• She has won awards for her research on genetics and for her efforts on behalf of women in science

She is a Pakistani judge, she served in the Sindn High Court. She is one of only two women serving on the court at this moment.
