Declaration of the APEC’s summit in Vladivostok
The Declaration, APEC leaders issued the following statement: “We recognize that natural resources and ecosystems on which they depend – an important basis for sustainable economic development. In this regard, we are concerned about the escalation of the illegal trade in rare and protected species, including marine resources, products thereof. This trade has on the economy of our country's economic, social and environmental impacts and threatens their safety”

Measures to tighten the Russian legislation in the field of wildlife
Regulations on the cost ofmost vulnerable and involved in illegal cross-border trafficking of the species of wildlife listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation and the CITES lists
On July 15, 2013 entered into force changes to article 258 Criminal Code of the Russian Federation: tougher penalties for illegal hunting (fines of up to 1 million rubles) or imprisonment for up to three years with a fine
On November 14, 2013 entered into force amendments to Article 8.35 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, they also relate to illegal extraction of valuable wildlife and aquatic biological resources
July 2, 2013 Federal Law № 150-FZ of the Russian Government approved a list of wild animals listed as endangered or protected by international treaties, production and trafficking which provides a criminal penalty

The purpose of the Special Inspection "Tiger" is the implementation of measures in the field of environmental protection and conservation of rare and endangered animals and plants listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation, their habitat.
Rehabilitation Center for Special Inspection "Tiger" is located in the municipal district of Nadezhda Primorsky Krai 57 km away from the international airport "Knevichi" and 68 km from the center of Vladivostok. Covers an area of 2.7 hectares. Consists of six enclosures, sanitary zone and conecting aviary corridor.
