Planned Events

ISTMA Lounge @MEX 2019

• ISTMA - International Special Tooling and Machining Association, will once againorganize a Forum at MOULDING EXPO 2019. In the Forum programme, lecturesand presentations of technological and market trends will show the relevance andinfrastructural strategic position of tooling, pattern and mould making towards thedevelopment, the future viability and the sustainability of industry. Daily paneldiscussions on the “hottest” topics in the industry will round off the Forum.

• The ISTMA-Lounge is the meeting point of the tool making industry atMOULDING EXPO for representatives from the sector, political decision-makers,members of the respective institutions and national tooling associations tostrengthen existing partnerships and expand their networks.

ISTMA World Conference Shanghai China

June 2020

A record number of representatives of the global mould, die andtoolmaking industry are expected to assemble in Shanghai, China inJune 2020 for the 16th World Conference of the International SpecialistTooling & Machining Association (ISTMA). It is the first time that Chinaacts as host country for the ISTMA tri-annual World Conference since theinception of ISTMA almost half a century ago. The conference host is theChina Die and Mould Industry Association (CDMIA).

ISTMA WorldGlobal Skills Competency Standards for Industry 4.0

ISTMA World has announced that it is soon to introduce a global skillsstandards pilot programme for Industry 4.0. The aim of the programme,called the Global Skills Standards for Tooling, Machining and Automationis to develop the global competency standards required for the Industry4.0 workforce in the advanced production landscape of the future. Thepilot will be introduced in conjunction with the members of the ISTMAGlobal Partnership Programme
